At thirteen Daniel S started listening to Soul Corner on national Swedish radio, where all sorts of urban music was played , be it hip hop, soul, funk or house. This was also the time when Daniel got in touch with DJing at school dances and youth clubs. He got intrigued by the concept of mixing records together and decided to give it a go. This was in the late 80s and since 1990, Daniel has been spinning mostly deep, soulful & funky house with a bit of soul and disco thrown in for good measure.

Born in Chicago, Dj_Quirk's last known signal radiated from an orbital outpost approximately halfway between the moon and the earth. This journey began on day zero in a home that required space for the construction and consumption of sound. During his extensive travels he uncovered a set of turntables and has yet to stop fooling with them. Discontent with mixing as a means to to keep the sounds from stopping Dj Quirk's path to cognizance seeks to pervert and invert noise sources into raw materials for the creation of new statements and ideas. It is through his numerous transmissions that he shares with others his unique perspective of the aural, physical, and sub-atomic landscape.
